The Cumberland Evening Times, 26 May 1942: Keyser, W.Va., Charles McClain Dayton, 79, died yesterday afternoon at his home on Argyle street from paralysis.  He was stricken a week ago.  A son of the late pat rick M. and Rachel (Kight) Dayton he was born at Twenty First Bridge, Md.  For 27 years he was manager and bookkeeper for the Potomac Milling and Ice Company.  He was a member of Calvary United Brethren Chruch.  Davis Lodge No. 51, A.F. and A.M., and the Junior Order United American Mechanics.  he was twice married, first to Miss Carrie May Fletcher.  he is survived by his second wife, the former Mrs. Bertie (Hott) Feaster, one son by the first marriage, Everett Dayton Narraows, Va., and one son by the second, Charles M. Dayton, Jr., at home.
