Mrs. Sarah Catherine Casteel of Rock Forge, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Meyers, of University Ave. She was 88 years of age. A native of Preston County, she was born July 12, 1872, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Uphold. Her first husband, William Thomas, preceded her in death, and her second husband, Melbert H. Casteel died in 1953. Mrs. Casteel was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Survivors include two sons, Joseph of Morgantown, Alvin of Brandonville; four daughters, Mrs. Cora Faulkner of Friendsville, MD, Mrs. Catherine Burch, Mrs. Margaret Meyers, Mrs. Mazura Burch, all of Morgantown; 25 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren.
