Researchers of Garrett County, Norah Ellen "Ellen" BOWMAN, b. 3 Mar 1862, Brothersvalley Twp (east), Berlin Borough, Somerset Co, PA, daughter of Moses BOWMAN and Susannah Elizabeth "Susan" BOWSER. Ellen was the widow of Thaddeus GLOTFELTY, b. Jul 1842, d. 26 Feb 1919, Sang Run, Garrett Co, MD. My question(s) are...does anyone know when Ellen died, she was alive as of 1930 census. Did she remarry? Most of the members of the family are buried in Thayerville Cemetery, Route 219 & Deep Creek, Oakland, Garrett Co, MD, however, I do not find Ellen there. Any info that you can share pertaining to Ellen I would be very grateful to receive. Any help that can be offered would be deeply appreciated. Mrs. Ellen Nora Glotfelty, 79, died Wednesday at her home near McHenry, Garrett county, after an illness of six months. She was a daughter of the late Susan and Moses Bowman. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Knox and Katie, at home, and four sons, Thad, Indian Head, Pa.; Ira and Paul, near McHenry; and Willis of Deer Park; 26 grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were conducted this morning from the United Brethren Church at McHenry. Interment was in Thayerville Cemetery.
