    3. On November 16, 1846, The Independent Order of Odd Fellows dedicated a new hall next to the Evangelical Reformed Church on West Church Street in Frederick. On November 16, 1898, and the following day, the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland held a session of its members in Frederick at Kemp Hall on East Church Street. On November 16, 1920, Mary Edith Coblentz Hightman, 27, who lived on a farm near Burkittsville, was raped and murdered by Charles B. Robinson, who worked on the farm. Robinson, who was 16 at the time of the murder, was hanged at the Frederick County Jail on West South Street in Frederick on February 25, 1921, for the crime.
