    1. Re: James Mifflin HOOD 1821, Baltimore
    2. A life-sized statue of James Mifflin Hood stands in Preston Gardens on Saint Paul Place just opposite the main entrance of Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore City. It was originally located elsewhere and moved to Preston Gardens years ago. There was a recent newspaper article in the Sun suggesting that it should be moved in front of Penn Station to replace that horrible Man/Woman atrocity put up a few years back. I suspect if you contacted the Library at the Maryland Historical Society you could learn more about Mr. Hood. He lived most of his life in Frederick, MD. He was the son of James HOOD and Elizabeth MIFFLIN. I am trying to find the identity of his siblings, if any, and would greatly appreciate any information.
