Between 1824 and 1833 the following HOOD men married GRIMES women. 1824 - John M HOOD married Rachel GRIMES 1829 - Thomas HOOD married Catharine GRIMES 1833 - John Hood married Mary GRIMES It must be noted that Rachel GRIMES was the second wife of John M. His first wife was Tabitha WOLF(e) and that the above cited Thomas and John were sons of this marriage. While I have learned a great deal about the HOOD line I have been unable to determine the lineage of the GRIMES women. Were they related in any way? Their years of birth lead to the possibility they could have been sister. If that were to be true, it would have resulted in some interesting family relationships. My line of GRIMES are known to have been in western MD, with my GGG GF moving on to KY and ultimately OH. My wife was a HOOD and descends from James HOOD and Kitty FRANKLIN.
