hello all.. just got back from annapolis... found a little more imformation to expand my scheifler inquiry.. in 1780 the records show peter klein/ brother of my george adam cline sons of jacob klein married anna maria erlebach at the Frederick Lutheran church and george scheifler is listed as witness to the wedding and as Peter's step-father jacob having died c. 1777 records now for the Middletown (Mitteldoun) Zion Lutheran church continue to mention george scheifler and his wife Maria Magdelena until about 1799 george and magdelena appear as the god-parents for several children there is also listed a/// Catherine Scheifler who stands as god-parent for a daughter.. Catherine born to Peter and Anna Maria in 1788.. amoung the baptisms for which george and maria magdelena stood as god-parents were: Johnathan Muller 1782 Anna Maria Fischer Daniel Rautenbach 1785 Frederick Phrene 1783 Anna Watts 17?? Johannes Keplinger 1789 ? Wurthenbecker 1799 there are also mentioned two small Scheifler's : Joshuah and Leanne born in 1822, and 1825 and baptised together in 1826??? does anyone have any connection to any of these Scheifler's??? George was also listed as a church official from 1786 to 1789? along with Conrad Jung?
