I have received some info from the Frederick co His Soc. It says David Hoffman (not sure it is my David Hoffman) was a Toaltimorian and had written books of legal and other subjects. That word might be spelled wrong but that's the best I can make out as it is hand written. It also states that "David Hoffman was the 11th in a family of 12 of the Peter Hoffman and his wife (Peter's wife) Mary Dorothea. They came from Frankfort am Ibain with the well known Rieo (can't make any more out here) Anyone have any suggestions? Also They settled in Frederick Co. MD and David married (it looks like) wife - - - - (and then it looks like) Kiean. I know it starts with a "K". She is a decedant of (it looks like) Thomas lbackean of Pennsylvania a signer of the Declaration of Independence. I guess I can look to see who signed the Declaration of Independence. Anyone want to give this a "try" ^..^ It about makes my eyes go crossed. ^..^ Harriet My daughter teaches 3rd grade. She says she can usually make out what she calls poor wirting because of the age of the school children. So just maybe she can help me out here.
