Ellen SmithCAVETOWN DISTRICT NO. 7 “Cavetown District No. 7” from Scharf History of Western Maryland, page 1268. Cavetown, the seventh election district of Washington County, lies along the extreme eastern border, and but one remove from the Pennsylvania line, Ringgold District, which occupies the extreme northeastern position, intervening. The eastern line of Cavetown District follows the irregular course of South Mountain, extending along its summit.
