    1. General Research questions-Kagy-Keedy relationship?

    3. Thanks to a thorough search of land records I have learned that Ludwick Keedy, nephew of Henry and apparently son of Johannes Joseph owned land as early as 1761 in Frederick County. I have traced the history of his land sales I have followed him from MD to PA, to KY to TN; I have the record of his marriage to Catherine Welty (thanks to Lee) and am totally stumped in my efforts to find the names of any children born prior to 1790. Ludwick eventually died in Bledsoe County TN and a great deal of research has been done on his children if they appear by name in the census rolls with him. Older children who had left their paternal home cannot be traced to him. I will be in PA this coming week and plan to make time to hunt out more information if I can. I'm just not sure what I should look at and where I should concentrate my efforts. These are the records i have combed so far and the last year in which I looked through them: Census Records and Tax Lists Land transaction records in both MD and Washington Counties Tax lists in KY German Church Records at Annapolis (those available in 2000-2001) German Church Records in 2003 in Washington County I have his Muster Roll and information from the Revolutionary War If a will was filed I am presuming it would have been filed in Bledsoe County, TN. That is a deadend. The courthouse there burned down and records that might have been there were destroyed. All existing records in Orange County Indiana where the man I believe to be Ludwick's eldest son John Joseph lived most of his adult life but no mention of Ludwig. Are there any record repositories in PA or MD where I might find something? Aside from Census records, land records and his Revolutionary War Service Information the only anecdotal information I can find on him is this: "Ludwick Keyday and his wife were 2 executors of the estate of Michael Kagy in Washington County on 2 February 1786 (Ref: J 26) Is anyone aware of what this relationship might have been? Luwick's wife was Catherine Welty. Thanks for any ideas, insights or observations anyone might make. Alice
