confused again... in reading the 1776 census list I found several Kleins but all of them were listed as being in Elizabeth Hundred, which seems to have been in the Hagarstown area.and since the formation of Washington Co.was in 1776, I assume that the Kleins listed in the census were residing in washington co. not in frederick co.... unless elizabeth hundred extended over the eastern side of south mountain into frederick co..??? is there a definitive description of Elizabeth Hundred anywhere. i made a short dash at that question last time i was down in Annapolis at the Archives, but did not find anything of note. has anyone been down this path already?? jay --------------------------------- How low will we go?
