hello all... in going thru the Kocherthal lists I found any number of Kleins most seem to be related to Heironymous Klein who was I beleive Dutch and came up the river to the German settlements of 1708-9 can anyone confirm this opinion of Heironymous' heritage? or am i once again reading too much and not nearly carefully enough. Was he related to the Dutchman named Klein who traded at New Amstel on the Delaware River in the 1640's-50's. I have been told that descendents of these Kleins often spell the name Clein..?
