On September 9, 1863, William Bradley Tyler, a former clerk of the Frederick County Circuit Court, and a former state senator, died at age 76. He was buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. On September 9, 1914, a monument was erected over the grave of Barbara Fritchie in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
