Like some of you, I also began experiencing problems gaining remote access to the Heritage Quest databases. Last weekend, I contacted the Sailor HELP DESK and their reply led me to conclude that a system change has created a situation where access to this site is now being blocked by my computer firewall (Norton Internet Security 2006). As a temporary solution, I click on the Norton Internet Security icon in my task bar where I'm given the option to disable my security for as little as 5 minutes, after which I am now able to remote access the Heritage Quest databases. For me, a 5 minute lapse in my internet security is well worth the risk when considering the alternatives until this problem is successfully resolved. Bob Fout
