Randi, I think you are on the right track.....A Henson Boyer and wife, Susan are listed with a daughter Ada F. Boyer in the 1880 censusof the lower part of Middletown-District 3. Listed just above them is the family of Oliver Boyer-probably Henson's brother as they are of similar age. I would guess that Ada was married to a Barnes first and was widowed young. (or maybe not) Maybe you could check the marriage records for a Boyer/Barnes marriage prior to Hattie's birth. Then you'd be able to look for a burial or obituary for the Barnes. ***Also, In the 1900 census-Burkittsville District, I see that Charles and Ada Rohrback's son was named Hanson. Also named are Hattie and Louella. Pretty good bet, he's named after his grandfather and Ada IS Henson and Susan Boyer's child. Good luck. Hope this helps some. Cindy H.
