    3. On February 20, 1788, Samuel Barnes, who founded The Examiner newspaper in Frederick, was born in Kent County. He died December 15, 1858. On February 20, 1954, the last passenger trolley made its run from Frederick to Thurmont. On February 20, 1977, thieves stole about $3,000 in sacred and secular articles from All Saints Episcopal Church at 106 West Church Street in Frederick. All the items, which included two sterling silver chalices, were recovered the next day. On February 20, 1997, Frances Elizabeth Brown, an elementary school teacher for 40 years in Frederick County, and one of the founders of The Esther Grinage Kindergarten for black children (1937), died at the Carroll Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington, DC.
