On November 10, 1805, Tilghman Biser was born near Burkittsville. He was the first physician who "persistently advocated the administration of cold water to cases of fever." He died May 12, 1894. On November 10, 1849, John Casper Fritchie died at age 69. He was survived by Barbara, his wife of 43 years. On November 10, 1922, William A. Stultz became the last person executed at the Frederick County Jail. He was hanged for the murder of Frederick City Policeman John Adams on August 9, 1922.
