    3. On May 30, 1752, Daniel Dulany granted the lots on East Church Street to the trustees of what became the Evangelical Lutheran Church for a new house of worship. Conrad Grosh and Frederick Unseldt were the church members who requested the grant. On May 30, 1950, more than 4,000 people attended the 200th anniversary celebration in Walkersville, and the dedication of the new fire hall and community center. This building now serves as Town Hall after extensive renovations. On May 30, 1980, Judge William W. Wenner, of the Frederick County District Court, was appointed to The Sixth Judicial Circuit Court by Gov. Harry Hughes. He replaced Judge Robert E. Clapp, Jr., who retired. On May 30, 1994, Jug Bridge Memorial Park was dedicated. This park commemorates the Jug Bridge over the Monocacy River, which was built in 1808 and remained in use until 1942, when a section collapsed into the river.
