I've "rescued" four old family bibles belonging to the SAFFELL, WHEATCRAFT, LEMON, and MORTON Families of Ohio including one containing a photograph of Rachel WHEATCRAFT SAFFELL which was taken at the D. M. Foreman Studio in Lancaster, OH sometime in the 1870's or 1880's. Rachel is identified as the "Mother of Nancy S. LEMON" on the back of the photograph. The first bible (printed in 1852) was a gift to Mary M. SAFFELL from her Uncle Samuel WHEATCRAFT in 1865.
