    3. On February 14, 1932, The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Brunswick was organized in the chapel of the YMCA. On February 14, 1969, Frederick County purchased Rose Hill Manor, the last home of Maryland's first governor, Thomas Johnson. The price paid was $401,400. The property is located on North Market Street in Frederick. On February 14, 1983, Frederick County officials announced that they had reached an agreement to sell Elm Street School to Frederick Memorial Hospital to make room for a five-story parking deck and other hospital expansion. The old school, which was built in 1912, was first used as Boys' High School, then as the first Frederick High School, and even later as a junior high school known as Elm Street School.
