Property was located 2 1/2 miles north of Frederick on the Emmittsburg Turnpike and had a new 2-story brick house with back building and bake oven, smoke house and pantry attached, a capacious stable, carriage house and corn house under one roof, a milk house and a well of excellent water near the kitchen door, fruit trees and good fencing. It had limestone land with three acres set in timber. A church and school house adjoined the premises. Trustee was Joseph G. MILLER with sureties as David E. MILLER and David C. WINEBRENNER.
