I found the following two records that gives a better description of my Hardy family on Dividing Run : (1) Charles County Land Records Vol. 2 p 325 : Recorded 29 Apr 1738. 24 Apr 1738 from JOHN HARDY of CC, to FRANCIS MONTGOMERY of CC, for 4000 lbs tobacco, a tract of land called Dividing Run, and lying in CC on the east side of Zackaiah Swamp, being part of MR. WILLIAM BOARMAN's MANOR, laid out for about 50 acres. Signed - JOHN (+ his mark) HARDY. Wit : Henry Hawkins, Allen Davis. Sixty one years later : (2) Charles County Land Records 1786-1790 Vol 10 p 587 : 22 Sep 1789 from HENRY HARDY of Prince George's County, to DOCTOR EDWARD SEMMES of CC, 2 parts of a tract of land in CC on Dividing Run, called Boarmans Manor, bounded by the east side of Zachaiah Swamp, the north side of a fresh run called the Dividing Run, the Main Road that leads from Brian Town to the New Brigs (Bridges) of Zachaiah Swamp, containing about 103 acres, and beginning for the other part of the sd tract at a bounded red oak standing on the east side of Zackiah Swamp and on the north side of Dividing Run, containing about 50 acres.
