    1. [MDCHARLE] Found a John Skinner to add...Does anyone know Joseph Harrison's line?
    2. Amanda Douglass
    3. Dear List, Found another reference to a Skinner and would like to add to finding out more about Thomas Skinner line. Just finding so many same surnames from MD in Fauquier associated with our Stigler and McConchie lines. In addition to chasing Skinner and Douglas names, I really need to find where Joseph Harrison may have come from? On Fauquier Chancery Record, Joseph P. Stigler vs. Heirs of George Stigler, I found my gg grandfather George W. McConchie named as heir of Robert King McConchie and Elizabeth Stigler. Also on this record was Henry Harrison, Granville T. Kelly, John Taliaferro, R. H. Allen, Henry Claxton, Granville Coleman, David Coleman and an "infant ____Berry" of guardian Jm. S. Bryne just to name few. One particular record of interest that can be viewed on line with Lib of VA for Fauquier Co.: (It's over 140 pages and some of it hard to read but I'm going back to do this page by page but this was what I got at first glance.) Fauqiuer Chancery Record of Ex.Jonathan Gibson Ex. Benjamin Harrison: Has many names that I believe connect to MD. The Benjamin Harrison I believe to be one. Other names I picked out from inventory were: Richard Beal, Isaac Eustace, James Wood, Hesekiah Oliver, John Shumate, and know that Langhorn Dade connects to Rose Townsend Knox, widow of Capt. Robert Knox. What caught my eye on this record was Hesekiah Oliver found married Margaret (Mahal) Lewis 5/6/1808 d/o Britain Lewis. Robert McConchie, son of Alexander in Fauquier married Mary Ann King and Britain Lewis was brother of Mary Ann King on the marriage bond. John Shumate married a Carey Smoot and his daughter Lucy Shumate married Jonathan Gibson of this Gibson/Harrison record. I'm thinking Harrison line must connect somewhere as we have Elizabeth "Betti" Harrison McConchie married to Silas Neale 18 July 1884. We can't figure out where the Harrison name comes from?
