I have the following record in my Hardy line in Loudoun Couny, Virginia : 2 Jan 1777 Received in Court : 12 May 1777 : Loudoun County : WILLIAM HARDY (moved from Loudoun)...of Spotsylvania County, Virginia to RICHARD BEAM, Assignment of lease of 130 acres. Wit : ANTHONY RUSSELL, SOLOMON HARDY (my 5th great grandfather), PETER ACKER and MICHAEL BEAM. In the Oaths of Fidelity and Suport in Prince George's County it listed the following names in order : Thomas Dent, William Duvall, William Beanes, Jr., Benedict Hardey, and Colmore Beanes. Would anyone know if the the BEAN and BEANES fanily are the same family as BEAM with different spelling or are they two separate families ?? An answer to this would help immensely.
