Hello: Been researching my mother's HANSON family. Happened upon Michael Marshall's site and see 2 items I am interested in. 1. John Hanson b. abt. 1630; died 7/1717 & wife Mary. (This is what I have) Michael's site also has him married to an Ann Hussey. I have not seen that before. Does anyone else have this info/source? 2. John Hanson and wife Elizabeth Hussey. I have no other wife for this John Hanson. Site has a 2nd wife of his as Mary Boswell. b. 1671; married 1749. I have a Mary Boswell, widow of John Boswell , married 2nd by 4/1686 to a George Pouncey. Again, where was this info found so I can correct my records. Everytime I think I have the HANSON's straight, something else shows up. Much Thanks Mary

This pair is my 7G grandparents. I have John Hanson born in Sweden (LDS records). The Mary is Mary Hussey, dau of Thomas Hussey (abt 1630-Oct 1700) whose wife is unknown. I have John Hanson's parents as John Hanson (abt1604-Nov 1632) and Margaret Vasa (abt 1608-?). They had 7 children, one of whom was the pair below, my 6G Grandparents. > > 2. I have John Hanson married twice, once to Elizabeth Hussey (1666-1667 d. 1748, dau of Thomas Hussey and Johannah Porter) in Nov 1705, Charles Co., and to Mary Boswell (1700-1766, dau of William Boswell and Mary McAtee) bef july 1749. Five children by Elizabeth Hussey and I descend from their daughter Eleanor who married William Hagan bef 1736 and the line is to Aloysia Hagen who m. Richard Gardiner and had Mary Ann Gardiner who m. John Randall Dyer and had Robert Walter Dyer who m. Mary Eliza Cassin who had Mary Roberta Dyer who m. Henry Peyton Howard, my G Grandfather. I have no children of John Hanson by Mary Boswell. But I do have Mary Boswell m to Francis Goodrick, John Hanson and Charles Smoot. She had 7 children by Goodrick, none by Hanson and none by Smoot (as far as I know). The John Hanson who died 7/1717 wasn't married to Anne Hussey. This mis-understanding was caused by a mis-reading of the records and has long been dispelled. He also wasn't born in Sweden. This, too, was a long dispelled hoax. See my website. The John Hanson married to Mary Boswell (first wife Elizabeth Hussey, widow of first John Gardiner, second Samuel Luckett) was the son of the above John and Mary Hanson. Mary Boswell was the widow of Francis Goodrick and married third Charles Smoot.
