To Amanda Douglass, I did some research in Fairfax County, Virginia and found there was a Townsend Dade in Truro Parish. He was part of the Vestry in 1765 and he bought pews in the Alexandria Church in 1773. The Dade's married into the Washington family. In fact Townsend Dade went to church with George Washington. I have a record where my William Hardy was in Fairfax County with the Washington's right before Loudoun County, Va was formed from Fairfax in 1757. My Hardy's lived in Cameron Parish on Goose Creek in Loudoun and this is where Thomas Dent bought 223 acres as a gift for his niece Ann ( married ....Gordon) daughter of George Hardey, Jr. that married Lucy Dent's (sister of Thomas Dent.) The land was on Goose Creek also. This was in 1772. Then in 1800 Ann Hardey Gordon was in Georgia. So, there is a small summary of things I researched tonight that shows associations. Also Robert H. Harrison and Thomas Harrison were in the Loudoun fee Book 1762-1765. I hope this helps some. Marianne Dillow
