    3. I have only portions of record in a book entitled " Deed and Will Abstracts of Stafford County Virginia 1699-1709 ; pp. 219-221 : It states " ANNE by the Grace of God of england scotland france and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith etc. To all to whom these present Letters shalll come Greeting. Know ye that among the Pleas recorded before our Justices for Charles County in our Court held for Port Tobacco in the same county the Eleventh day of November in the 13th year of the Reign of our late Predecessor KING WILLIAM the THIRD of gracious Memory Anno Domini 1703. Before MAJR. WILLIAM DENT CAPTAIN WILIAM BARTON, MR. JOSEPH MANNING, MR. THOMAS TANZY, MR. BENJAMIN HALE, MR. ROBERT YEATS, MR. RICHARD HARRISON, MR. PHILIP BRISTOE, MR. WILLIAM HERBERT, CAPTAIN HENRY HARDY, LIEUT. COLLO. JAMES SMALLWOOD, Justices thereuunto appointed and authorized. " I don't have the rest of the article but it appears to be concerning "goods and Tobacco." Anyway, I thought I would share this with the List. Stafford County was one of the earlier counties formed in Virginia before Fairfax in 1742 and then Loudoun formed from Fairfax in 1757 where my Hardy line was living 1757-1792, which stems from the Hardy lines in Charles and Prince George's counties. There is a ROBERT HANSON in Stafford County, Va. in 1705. Marianne Dillow
