    3. Hi, List, Does anyone know how the Gwins and the Howards were connected? There are these two porbate entries that offer tantalizing hints that they were connected and I can't make sense of it. The first is an accounting for George Groves with John Gwinn as Administrator and shows "daughters" being due payment from the estate of Edmund Howard. The second shows Joseph Gwinn as surety of the estate of William Stevens Howard. I might simply be getting too old to make the connection when I see it, but whatever, I'm not making it (grin). 3. I don't think there is a connection. This would be a set of accounts that should probably be pulled and read. It appears, at least to me, that it's a blend of two accounts--that of George Groves and that of Edmund Howard. Both men died about the same time. In fact, their wills are listed side by side in the Maryland Calendar of Wills. George Groves: 11/11/1713-1/3/1713 and Edmund Howard, 12/3/1709-1/5/1713.
