Barton Warren didn't die until 1757. His will and his administration accounts both name his daughter, Susanna. All of his children, according to my files, were born to a first unknown wife. He had no children by Elizabeth Edelen. Will of Barton Warren, Charles Co., planter 2/3/1757-3/9/1757. Wife: Elizabeth, 1/3 of plantation where I now dwell called "Fraility" and 1/3 of moveable estate. Sons: Notley and John, dwelling plantation called "Fraility" (John to have land next to Robert Yates and Notley to have the residue). Son: William Barton Warren, land in Port Tobacco Hundred "Strife". Brother: Thomas Warren, wearing apparel. Daughter: Susanna, bed and furniture, cow and horse. Son: Edward, bed and furniture. Son: Robert, bed and furniture. Remainder of personal estate to be divided among my 8 children: Mary Musgrove, Notley Warren, John Warren, William Barton Warren, Susanna Warren, Edward Warren, and Robert Warren. Execs: Sons, Notley and John. Wit: Charles Bruce, John Ford, William Brown. (Maryland Calendar of Wills). Admin. accts. of Barton Warren 6/6/1758; sureties were Robert Yates and Thomas Dutton; legatees were Thomas Warren, Susanna, Edward, and Robert; distribution to widow, 1/3; residue to: Jane Hungerford, Mary Musgrove, Notley Warren, John Warren, William Barton Warren, Susanna Warren, Edward Warren, and Robert Warren; Execs., Notley Warren and John Warren (Skinner). 1757: Deposition of Barton Warren re: "Wicomico Fields". He states that 27-28 years ago, Gerard Cain told him where the boundaries of this land were. He stated that he has known John Smoot, father of Edward; John Groves; and Edward Smoot, Jr. for about 28 years past. (CC Land Rec., 1756-1761). I also don't have Susanna's will. Does anyone have it that could post? Linda, I am thinking that in an E-mail I must have typed Barton Warren when I meant Barton Hungerford (wife Jane Warren). Both have daughters named Susanna. Susanna Warren seems to be missing in some abstracts, so I am glad to have yours. Susanna Hungerford also goes missing here and there, however, she did have a will (1796) and mentions her sisters by name. (Liber AK No. 11, Folio 373) Written 18 March 1796 and proved 16 January 1797. Thanks. Anne Johnson
