Hello List, Wanted this list to see this Newspaper article. As some maybe related to the Brookes,Bowie, Clarke,Spriggs, Pile families. One error in the article, Elizabeth Brookes first husband was John [not Richard] Clarke Sprigg. John Clarke Sprigg is the s/o Gilbert Sprigg and Elizabeth Clark. Gilbert Spigg is the s/o Col. Edward Sprigg and Elizabeth Pile. Elizabeth Pile is the d/o Dr. Richard Pile and his wife Mary and Dr. Richard is who in 1734 patented the tract called Addition Piles Delight.
