    3. To Linda Reno, My apologies for having your name wrong. I have an old photo of a tombstone which reads: Gerard Wood Surgeon Revolutionary War 1754---1822 and his wife Winifred Chunn 1764---1809 On the bottom, in small lettering it says: Replace old stone Someone on the list pointed out to me that I had the wrong parents for Gerard--that correctly they were John and Mary Wood, not Phillip and Mary Wood as I had thought. Vicki Rose says that Phillip and Mary also had a son, Gerard, and moved to Kentucky which does make two with the name Gerard Wood. She says this Gerard was born 1767. Now I wonder if perhaps Gerard was not baptized as an infant? I wonder who supplied the DAR record which agrees with the above-mentioned stone. What do you think? Anne Johnson

    3. Don't worry about my name being wrong. Many are still calling me Janet (for Janet Reno). No big deal. I'd have to go with Norma Lundgren's documentation from the Trinity Episcopal Church records. The original tombstone was obviously in poor enough shape to be replaced and it could be that whoever did that could not adequately read the number. The following source may or may not name the descendant who filed with the tombstone information: Directory of Maryland DAR and Ancestors (Charles Co. Public Library) which states he was born in 1754 and died 11/1822.
