In my copies from the History of The Head of the Christiana Presbyterian Church book there was the following: John Whann...married Elizabeth Anderson. They adopted a niece of Mrs Whann, also named Elizabeth Anderson, who married Edward Wilson. Mr. Wilson lived in the house east of the late Mr. E.C. Wilson's residence. ... There were no dates in this information. And I only got the pages that pertained to the Whann family, sorry. I bet having an Elizabeth Anderson in the household of John and Elizabeth Whann had some researcher wondering. Now we know its a niece. John Whann was an undertaker that I thought lived in Newark? He may be the same as the John Whann who was the Church's elder 1831-1858. I'm afraid to state that as fact because there were several John and Thomas names in the Whann family.
