I have been looking for the Rudulph; Sewall or Sewell and Milnor families for a few years and have benefited from periodically writing to the Cecil County mailing list. I have accumulated, this way, more information from generous souls. So to those who have helped and are tired of seeing the same posting, I apologize. I hope, though, that someone can help me once again. Bazel Sewall/Sewell was married twice, Elizabeth Dawsen and Dorothy Elliott were his wives, don't know in what order. In his will, proved in 1802, he names children: James, Bazel, Clement, William, Thomas, Nicholas and Mary Dawson and his granddaughter Mariah Dawson - In "Plantation Life at Rose HIll: the diaries of Martha Ogle Forman" Mrs Forman mentions that General James Sewall(of Holly Hall, Elkton, Cecil County) is the uncle of Mary Dawson's daughter, Maria Sewall (Dawson) married a Ford). I do not know who the mother(s) of Bazel's children were, just that he was married twice and that they are the children mentioned in his will. The above mentioned James Sewall (abt 1778-1842) married Anna Maria Rudulph (1792-1856), they had Martha Elizabeth who married William Carson Glenn in 1835, Caroline who married Thomas Oliver in 1846 and James M. who married Anne Pinkney. In the 1840 census I find James and Bazil Sewall in district 2, Cecil County (where is district 2)? On April 7, 1883 the Cecil Whig ran an article which was about the Hollingsworth Burial ground and the reinternment of various individuals, among them were one Tobias Rudulph, son of Tobias and Martha Rudulph and "Charles Sewell, son of James M. Sewell, ... and grandson of General Sewell ... will be removed to the Sewell family vault at Holly Hall" Anna Maria is the daughter of Tobias Rudulph (1759-1806) and Martha Milnor (1758-1818). Tobias Rudulph is the son of Tobias and Ann Jacob and grandson of Johannes Michael and his wife Anna. I am looking for additional information on the Sewall, Rudulph and Milnor families. Other than the name Martha Milnor I know nothing of this family. I believe that there may have been other children of Bazel Sewall, Sr who settled in Cecil County - Bazel, Sr. was from Talbot County. Maybe someone will recognize the above mentioned names. I would greatly appreciate any help on any of the families. The Sewalls I want have connections to Rudulph's; Milnors; Fords; Dawsons; Olivers; Pinckneys and Elliotts. Thanks in advance and hope that this is not too confusing. NT [email protected]
