Thanks, I will look at the Gilpin's. Our line goes to Frances Green Gilpin who was in Baltimore Co signing Joppa Petiton (1768? from memory may not be exact) and then in Washington Co signing an oath of Allegience in 1776. He used his middle name on all the documents, I have found. Maybe he has a connection to the Gilpin family in Cecil County. Frances Green next surfaces in Bedford Co Va in 1789 and stayed there until his death. I don't know his parents or first wife. Debbie Gilpin
