Is anyone else researching the Alexanders and Steeles of Cecil Co. Md. My James Alexander, weaver and his son David are the ones I am interested in. David was said to have moved into Chester Co. Pa and died there about 1740----but where? Does anyone have a clue? David was elder of Head of Christiana Church in 1726, but he is not buried there. I suspect he moved to the Rock Church which at one time fell in Chester Co. Helen Smith Waco, Tx
Helen Have tried HJack Wells Rootsweb site. He has a lot of information on the Alexanders. I have sent you the address in a separate email. Hello, I have not done a lot of research on the Steele branch of my family. The farthest back I have been able to get is a James E Steele born February 1855 in Cecil Co. He married Hannah Emily Jamison Sept. 10, 1874. I have done a little looking for the parents of James, with no luck, but I have certainly not done anything extensive. If you know of this branch, please let me know.
