    1. [MDCECIL] Need Info Marriage 11/9/1786

    3. Hi Guys, I was wondering if there are any quick and dirty ways to look up a marriage from November 9, 1786? My 4th great grandparents Samuel Campbell and Sarah Foster Coulter were married on that date in Cecil County, MD. It is believed that Sarah's maiden name was Foster and she was a widow of a Mr. Coulter. I got the above information from someone on one of the forums, but I wanted to confirm it, if possible with Cecil County marriage record volume # __ and page __#. If I could get a Xerox or a scan of the original certificate or a historical society published marriage book that would be the ideal, but just to know who Samuel married (Foster or Coulter) is good enough :-) Thanks, Linda Trent lindatrent@zoomnet.net

    3. Dear Tim, I have been reading with interest your info regarding the Maryland Marriage Index 1655-1850. I have a marriage that I think took place in Maryland, but cannot find anything either in my trips to Annapolis or my trips to Dover Delaware. My ancestor is Edward W. ROSS who married Anna GUESSFORD. In all the census records from 1850 forward, it says they both were born in Maryland. Anna's GUESSFORD family were mostly in and around Townsend, Delaware, though. Edward's family I don't have a clue because I can find NOTHING on him other than census records. I believe that Edward and Anna were married between 1840 and 1848. Edward and Anna had a son James, but I cannot positively track him either. Their only other child, Mary Lydia, was my great-grandmother. Anyway, I was wondering if you had anything on ROSS or GUESSFORD? If you mind looking things up, please excuse this request.......I have just been blocked for so long in this that I jump at any straw that surfaces! Sincerely, Elaine May (Gainesville, Florida) _________________________________________________________________ MSN Shopping has everything on your holiday list.
