    3. List, I suspect that many may have this information, but there also maybe a few that do have it. So I thought I'd post what I find. It is great info as it has the sources to go along with it. RAGAN & ERNEST NELSON Volume XXXVI, Captain John Finney's Company of Philadelphia Militia, 1704: Biographical Notes of Members, Page 178 Swan Justis Swan Justis [1677-1723] was one of nine sons of the former New Sweden soldier and gunner Johan Gustafusson, from Kinnekulle, Skaraborg län, Sweden [died ca 1682] and his wife Brita Månsdot- ter, who was also born in Sweden and buried 22 August 1724 at Holy Trinity Church in Wilmington. The original family plantation was in Kingsessing, where Swan Justis also lived.76 He married ca 1700 Catharine Yocum [1681-1727], daughter of Peter Petersson Yocum and Judith Jonasdotter [Nilsson].77 76. 3. 1693 CENSUS SWEDES ON THE DELAWARE, pg. 121, item #135 Olle Rosse (Rawson) (Naaman's Creek, Brandywine hundred #20): Among the soldiers arriving on the Eagle in 1654 was Olof Rase who was stationed at Fort Trinity (New Castle) when the fort was surrendered to the Dutch in 1655. Born in Sweden, Olof or Olle was variously identified as Raesen, Raessen, Rase, Rasson, Rausa, Raws, Rason, Roason, and Rosen in 17th century records. Probably variants of "resen" meaning "the giant" in Swedish. Olle Rawson was one of the six residents of Marcus Hook receiving a Dutch patent, which was confirmed by an English patent, 28 March 1676. In 1668, he also received authority to buy Indian land in New Jersey, but sold his interest to Jons Gustafsson (#72) in 1675. Olle remained at Marcus Hook, his name frequently appearing in the Upland and Chester court records. He also had property interests in Brandywine Hundred and in 1693 his property was valued at #100 in Chester County and #20 in New Castle County. He died after 25 July 1697 when Wooley Rawson and his son Lacy Rawson sold 7 acres of land with a mill on Naaman;s Creek and before 26 May 1702, when a suit against widow Brita Rawson was withdrawn in the Chester County Court. She was probably the sister of John Andersson Cock. The son Lasse, also know as Lawrence Rawson, sold another l00 acres at Marcus Hook on March 12, 1699/1700. Two other sons probably completed the 1693 household: Charles & John. FYI: For additional information, please refer to pages from Records of the Court of New Castle THE EAGLE AND THE SHARK (Article in Swedish Colonia News Vol 2, No. 10, Spring 2004) This article tells about the trip made by Olle Rosse and others on the Eagle which left Gothenberg in February 1653. They arrived in St. Eriks Bay (New Sweden) on May 18. Of the 350 passengers, 100 died in crossing. When they reached Ft. Christina, there were only 70 settlers left in the colony. On June 24, 1699, Olle Rawson (deceased) along with son Lars and wife Brita Andersdotter(Andersson) and Hans Justus (Johan Gustafsson and his wife Maria Ollesdotter (Rawson) were assigned pews at the Holy Trinity Church at the Marcus Hook Parish. For info on children, see:Swedish Colonia News, Vol 3, No. 2 Spring 2005 "Anders Andersson The Finn and His Descendents."
