    1. [MDCECIL] John ELIASON the first
    2. E Johnson
    3. Cornelius ELIASON was baptized on 3 September 1679 in the Dutch Reform Church of New York (city). His parents were Elias Cornelisen and Lysbeth Meyer, who was the daughter of Jan Dircksen Meyer and Tryntje Andriesse Grevenraet of Holland and New Amsterdam/New York city. This Eilas Cornelissen had a sister, Geertie Cornelissen (b. about 1650), who was the wife of Symon Aertszen DeHART. So the DeHARTs who descend from Symon Aertszen are cousins of the Cecil County/New Castle County ELIASONs. Cornelius ELIASON married Margaret _____ in 1703, St. Stephen's parish, Cecil County. He had several children, if I am reading his will abstract correctly, these: Elizabeth (Cage), Elias (married to Annah?), Cornelius, Susanna (married Abraham Armstrong), Mary (married Abraham Williams), Rachel (Dawson), Rebecca (married John Wood or Woods), and Catherine (married Robert Reddick). Help with the spouses and the families of these children would be appreciated. But Elias Cornelisen and Lysbeth Meyer had another son, Johannes ELIASON, baptized on 14 January 1682 in the Dutch Reform Church of New York (city). Did this Johannes (John?) ELIASON also move to Maryland or to a nearby area in Delaware? Did their parents move to the area? Did they have moe children? Is there a John ELIASON who married in the St Stephan's parish area (or in New Castle County) in the 1700 to 1710 or 1720 range? I know there were some later John ELIASONs in the area, but I would especially like to find this Johannes ELIASON and his wife, if he did marry, and to identify any descendents. Thanks very much, Liz J
