Also, when I found my little Catherine ALEXANDER living with the Abel Merritt family there was an older woman named Merritt living there, too. I thought it might be a grandmother to Catherine age 3. Ancestry has two database indexes of Maryland marriages, as part of their subscription. Both of them list the Foster Coulter marriage. One of them is the same as the one on Lois's CD.
