    1. Re: [MDCECIL] Tobias Rudolph 1788
    2. Roland Kankey
    3. I cannot claim to have researched the Rudulph family, but Hanse Rudulph reportedly married Ann Kankey (the widow of John Kankey). Johnston has a very nice section on the Rudulph family in his History of Cecil County (pg 513-520). Johnston indicates Tobias was probably a brother of Hanse. Johnston indicates Tobias had four children, one named Tobias, and that this son had a son also named Tobias who was a lawyer. I think you would find the section on the Rudulph Family to be interesting. Emey Allen was Herman's wife when he died, according to the information I have. But I don't know why she was in Kentucky, other than moving to be close to a brother-in-law? The DAR Library in Washington, DC, has several books and microfilms covering oaths of fidelity or allegiance in Maryland during the Revolution, including "Cecil County, MD, Signers of the Oath of Allegiance Sworn by County Justices, March 2, 1778," compiled by Mollie Howard Ash. Probably the Cecil County Historical Society would have a copy as well.
