Dearlethah, We did a survey of US Craigs and variants leading up to our study of the SC Craigs. Found many and different variations and locations in early US. Some came into PA, VA and on down into NC and SC and elsewhere. Our Craigs came from Ireland in 1773/4 into Charleston and were easily traced to Laurens and their current location. My only suggestion would be to loook into the Ireland Craig records at LDS. We traced our Craig Family back to Ahoghill, County Antrim, Northern Ireland with some help from these records, especially the Religious Census records of Ireland that LDS has. No help other wise for you. Thanks for input. Hit the wrong key. Esther and John had one son named Oliver and that is not a common Bing name. In twenty years of searching I have only found Oliver as a given name in this line of Bing. John Bing of Cecil Co. MD had children who married into the above families. Both Jane and Oliver m LOGANS and the rest were single marriages. Is anyone out there familiar with John SCOLES m Esther, Bernard THOMPSON m Sarah-Nathan PINER m Hannah or William CAMPBELL M ELIZABETH. These marriages were all before 1800 and the spouses were all born after 1750 in Cecil Co. Help with any or all would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. Thanks, I will look at the Gilpin's. Our line goes to Frances Green Gilpin who was in Baltimore Co signing Joppa Petiton (1768? from memory may not be exact) and then in Washington Co signing an oath of Allegience in 1776. He used his middle name on all the documents, I have found. Maybe he has a connection to the Gilpin family in Cecil County. Frances Green next surfaces in Bedford Co Va in 1789 and stayed there until his death. I don't know his parents or first wife. Debbie Gilpin
