    3. Judy, Hey, you trying to put me in an early grave? I just wish these CD's were the kind you could copy right off of, but they're a read only, so I have to pick them all out, write them down, and type them to the email. But some day it will make me feel its all worthwhile. Right now, its a lotta work, and I like doing it while I have the time. But, a little work creates more work, like you asked me, so I will try to accomadate everyone who requests something. By the way, I just happen to have 2 of the same CD's for the Maryland Genealogies and Marriages, #195. So if someone is so inclined, you can have it, and do what I'm doing. Any takers? 3. Ellen, I do see a JOHN WARD married to ELIZABETH, with 2 children being born, while they attended St. James Parish, Baltimore County, MARGARET b.2/2/1784 MARTHA b.10/29/1789 ***** There also was a JOSEPH & JANE WARD, who had a son JOHN b. 9/2/1802, from the same Parish. I will be getting back to that CD with WARD surnames in a few days, as things are hectic around here right now. Timothy L. Robinson Catonsville, Balto. Md. 3. Thanks Bobbi! That last is a bit of info I didn't have! If that refers to a resurvey of the properties Wards Knowledge and Wards Addition then it begins to answer my question as to *which* Ward family they were descended from and confirms a family history I discovered in Baltimore County of the George Ward descendants. The interesting thing is that it differs from the widely accepted information that was done by Duncan Veazey in the 1890s. If anyone has any other information that might help me I'd appreciate it. 1. [MDCECIL] John Ward III and Elizabeth Wilson
    2. Ellen Ward
    3. I have information that John Ward III from Cecil County and Elizabeth Wilson from Kent Island were married in 1765 and lived in Cecil County. They had children: Robert Ward b. 9/12/1765, Joshua Ward b. 7/31/1769, George Ward b. 4/19/1778 and Deborah Ward b. 1/15/1781. I took quick notes while visiting the Historical Society in Elkton this summer and Robert, Joshua and George appear as landowners 1795-1807. I'm particularly interested in knowing which property was owned by John Ward III. He appears on the 1790 Fed. Census for Cecil County in Bohemia Hundred. Does anyone know what property they owned and where it was located? I know that Robert married Mary Sudler, daughter of Colonel Emory Sudler and practiced medicine at Sudler's Cross Roads, Queen Anne's county, MD. As a second question... A John Ward IV appears on the Index of the Assessment of 1783 but I'm not sure if he's actually related to John Ward III or not. Does anyone know anything about this John Ward IV?? I'm also interested in Col John Ward (possibly son of John) who married Sarah Walmsley 22 March 1786 and may have also married Elizabeth Pennington. This is NOT (obviously) the Col John Ward (abt 1666-abt 1747) who married Mary and who owned Ward's Knowledge and Greenfield. Any and all help with these families would be appreciated! I just haven't had a chance lately to get back to the Historical Society or to any other good places for research. I have a good deal of information on the descendants of George Ward if anyone needs it. Thanks! Ellen Ward

    3. Melinda, thanks for sharing. I know some on the board do not believe we should post such messages but if we don't protect each other where we normally meet we are subject to falling prey to the unscrupulous out there. Thanks.........Tim Robinson; Baltimore, Maryland ********** I received e-mail from genseekers.com offering me a free 5 day trial so that I could find data that was in response to a message that I posted in 1998 on the Fayette Co., PA message board. I tried to get the 5 day trial to see what was available but had to give them my credit card number and then I could cancel in 5 days if I was not happy with their service. Problem is, they do no receive any e-mail at the site they send you to ([email protected]) and you do not get the login name and password needed to access their website. I have now found that this is a SCAM website and wanted to warn everyone on each of the lists I am on. I plan to call VISA tomorrow and tell them that if a charge for $59.95 for a one year membership comes thru, I am NOT going to pay it! Of course, they now have my number and can use it at their discretion so will have to cancel my account and open a new one. Big pain! BEWARE! Don't be a dumb as I was!
