    2. I was wondering if anyone has marriage material for time period about 1745-50 for Cecil Co.? My Ezekiel Alexander, son of David Alexander of New Munster, Cecil Co. Md probably married before moving to Mecklenburg, NC in 1750-51. I suspect he may have gone to Cumberland or Lancaster Co. Pa before the migration as many of his contemporaries are found there including his older brother. Ezekiel born 1726 married a Martha-----maybe a Brown, but have no documentation. Two of his brothers married Browns. I did find a 1746 Lancaster Co will (no twp listed) of a Charles Brown who had three daughters including Martha, Jean and Rebecca----all names of his and his brother's wives. Helen Smith

    2. Mary Majesty
    3. HI, The Historical Society of Cecil County has a family file on the Hall Family. I sent a request regarding my Rebecca Hall b. 1836 and they told me "I have reviewed the family files and related material. The Hall file doesn't mention a Rebecca Hall but I've enclosed the "family Tree" for your information." I certainly appreciated their reply and have a copy of a tree prepared by Albert Hall of Washington. There is no James Henry Hall b. 1812. While there is Dr. James Hall b. 12 Mar 1762 it does not go on with his family nor where he was born. BUT I suggest that you e mail the Society at [email protected] if you haven't already. I may have a web site too. Smiles, Mary in Alabama On Sat, 31 May 2003 17:43:05 +0000 "Rodney Hall" <[email protected]> writes: > I am trying to get through a big brick wall. 2. Rodney Hall
    3. I am trying to get through a big brick wall. I have a James Henry Hall born in Maryland in 1812. In 1834 he was married in Cincinnati Ohio. He may have been related to Ezekiel Hall who was born on the Eastern Shore about 1777 and was also in Ohio. I am trying to figure out if my James Hall is related to The Elihu Hall family of Cecil County. On www.Familysearch.com I found a James Hall born in 1812 to Charles Hall and Elizabeth Coleman. In another record I found this Charles Hall had a brother Henry who died 4 years before my James Henry Hall was born. The only hitch is the record at Familysearch.org said James was born in Pannsylvania not Maryland and all of the Census records show James as born in Maryland. Does anyone know where I could locate birth records for the time period around 1812? Also several of the records I looked at had a place called Mt. Welcome as a birthplace, does anyone know where that might have been?
