Cathy, Good evening. My wife has Alexanders from North East MD in her family. Ada Rebecca Alexander, d/o of George P. Alexander, 1822 and Sarah Galey. I believe they are buried at St Mary Annes, although I have not found any tombstones there. Could any of these be in your line. a quick reply as I'm trying to cut down my 1000 emails and I'm only at 701. I have no connection to your Alexanders. But when I was researching in Cecil Co I copied all the Alexanders I found. Hi, I don't know if the early Philadelphia MAHONEYs came from Maryland or not, but it does seem quite possible. I refer to the 1700's - in particular the early to mid 1700's and perhaps earlier. Some of the names I am seeking are Anthony and Patrick who married a Elizabeth BENNET and a Hannah COLLET. In fact, if anyone knows the origin of Judah or Hannah COLLET, while I am at it, I would really, really, really like to hear about that! Thanks, Vince Summers

My Moores had land in Bohemia Manor and were related in some way to the Horseys, Spences and Robins, all families of Somerset Co, MD. Cathy ----- Original Message ----- From: "C. Yes, I am finding the Horseys and Robins and Spence in Somerset and am guessing I'll find the Moores there also. But there was evidently some connection to Cecil Co to find that land record there with all their names on it. And the Moores and at least Outerbridge Horsey settled in Delaware. Robert, I have enjoyed my copy of Lecky's books and have found that a local friend whose name is Patterson had ancestors who lived and fought at King's Mountain. I was thinking that you were doing a study of Kings Mountain people, and perhaps publishing a book on that. Has that come about? Helen Smith researching Alexanders of Donegal (Raphoe) Ireland, Maryland and Mecklenburg NC.
I have seen the name Horsey mentioned in Somerset records. I believe the book by Worth Ray on Mecklenburg mentions him. Is there a chance that your Horsey came from Somerset Couty Md before Cecil County? Helen Smith
