    3. Hello SueS, Westminster Carrolltonian, The Baltimore and Frederick Advertiser Friday November 1840 Died column On Tuesday last at his residence in Manchester, DAVID SULLIVAN, son of Michael Sullivan, Esq. of this county, aged about 24 years. On Thursday last, Mrs. HANNAH, wife of Michael Sullivan, Esq., of this county. We have never heard of an instance of greater afflication that has lately fallen to the lot of the family of which the deceased was one of the heads. The mother and three of her sons have, within a few days of each other, been consigned to the silent tomb; whilst her husband and daughter are, yet confined to a bed of languishing by a dangerous illness. One member only of this devoted family has escaped thus far the ravages of disease or death. The worthy head of this family who yet survives and who has been confined for many weeks, might justly exclaim in the midst of his afflications, in the language of the pious Job, "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord!" And there is only Son Henry, Son William T. and Hannah Sullivan at Krider's. There a note about the stones being buried in the soil and maybe on one of the sons, a name of the other son. George Sill. About five weeks ago the remains of her husband were buried here, and she sojourned several days among her friends after the funeral, enjoying good health, which continued until a week ago, when pneumonia seized upon her with its iron grasp and carried her from this stage of action, at the age of 61 years. ***************************************** The American Sentinel Westminster, Maryland Saturday February 8, 1879 Died column Near Reisterstown, on Jan. 28th. 1879, Mrs. Juliann Sullivan, aged 60 y, 11 m and 4 days. ******************************************* I could not find a obituary on David Sullivan and I had typed everything in as it was. ******************************************* I think there was a mistake make in the reporting to the newspaper, and I look for a correction later, but none was make. Might want to check on the parents of Juliann Reagle, to see if they had left an estate and see if they mention David, as the son of Michael. ********************************************** I had checked the Krider's Lutheran records, that was not included in Vol. 9 of MGCR, and the years 1838 through 1844, are missing or are lost. I was hoping to finding a list of the Sullivans that had died in 1840 but no luck! The same thing with Immanuel Lutheran records in Manchester, the 1865 to 1867, were missing or lost. **************************************** Looks like there will be questions never cleared up. Later, SueB
