Can someone on this list tell me what the background is on the large abandoned building with the railroad siding at the south west end of Taneytown? This building is directly across the RR tracks from the Grain Mill siding which was owned by the Eckenrode family in the late 1800's. I believe this large wharehouse building is located on what was known as the brick yard (or perhaps slightly southwest of the brick yard) in the late 1800's. Also I would be interested if anyone has information about the canning factory RR siding at the northeast end of Taneytown. I believe the canning factory was operating in the 1940s and 1950s.
