My grandmother has said that her father, John Lincoln Clemm 1862-1947, was born in Carrol County, MD but I have never found any documentation to support this. I do know that John's father, J. A. Clemm, 1825-1891, was a circuit rider minister on the Manchester circuit for the Church of the Brethren during that time frame. I have obtained limited archived info on the minister, ordination date, circuits and dates served, etc, but nothing of a personal nature. I have done some limited research in Westminster but came up with nothing. My question is, where is the best place to find a record of John's birth? Also, has anyone ever come across an official Brethren church record, marriage, baptism, etc, signed by the Rev. J.A. Clemm? Thanks, Donna in PA
