The parents, John and Catharine brought their two sons-Charles and Phillip-from Bavaria, Germany in 1835. They were living in Carroll County, Maryland in 1850 with the additional children-John, Elizabeth, Frederic, and William born between 1840 and 1848. It appears the father had died as he isn't listed on the 1860 census of Carroll County and all disappear on the 1870. If any of this looks familiar to you, I would appreciate your help. Thank you
