I have very little info on the BARNES line. According to the 1850 census of Quincy Twp, Franklin County, PA, my gr, gr. grandmother, Priscilla/Percilla BARNES (1831-1907) is 20 years old and had been married within the year to Jacob Clem, 26, a carpenter. She was born in MD. I have never been able to document "where" in MD, although I suspect it was Carroll County. Living within close proximity in the same census is Adam BARNES, 74, a blacksmith, who was born in MD. He is living with Mary,48, of MD. Also living in the household are Dorsey, 27, a laborer of MD, Eliza, 17, of MD and Adam, 9, of PA. Adam and Mary are probably the parents of Priscilla but I cannot confirm this, The Carroll County, MD connection comes through family history that says a son of Jacob and Priscilla, John Lincoln CLEMM (1862-1947), my gr grandfather, was born there.
