Washington, D.C., 1998; I came across these two birth records on page 164 Surname Heckeleible Child Birth or Baptism Father Mother Church Andreas 15 Jun 1756 Andreas Not Given 3 Maria Catherine 1 Jan 1759 Andreas Not Given 3 Where the church is listed on page vii as: Records of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hanover; birth records from 1742 are included. The question I pose to fellow Berkebile/ Purkepile / Birckenbuel researchers and others who may know or have an interest. Could this possibly be Andreas (Andru) Birkenbeil’s children. It is known that Andru had a son named Andreas, I had not heard or have not seen any reference to a daughter named Maria Catherine. Possibly she did not make past childhood. If you look at the surname the logic I applied is as follows: The first letter and third letter could have been distorted in transcription or translation.
